Pleasure starts at Magnum Cafe

Magnum Manila is located at SM Aura, 5th floor Sky Park. It was easy to locate since there's a long line of customers in front of the cafe. When we were there, there are two lines, one for Make your own Magnum, which moves fast, and the other one is for customers who would like to order the plated Magnum desserts.

NOTE: Table and chairs are only for people who will order the plated ones, so if you're there for Make you own Magnum, you cannot sit in the dinning area.

As for me, my only agenda for that day is to make my own Magnum which cost me a hundred. The cafe really looks good. And just to remind you, it will only open for a year, so grab and create your own magnum now before its too late.

While in the line, you can already see the toppings for your ice cream, so yummy.

So here's a guide on how to make your very own Magnum.
  1. Pay first Php 100.00 to the cashier
  2. Selece which flavor of ice cream bar you want. (Chocolate or Vanilla)
  3. Select your Magnum chocolate coating. (Yellow-milk chocolate, Brown-white chocolate, Dark brown- dark chocolate)

     4. Pick three toppings. There's a lot to choose from, i can only remember few like choco chip                            cookies, gold nuggets, freezer dried raspberries, dried mangoes, honey comb, yogurt nibs, chocolate            crunch balls, double speculoos cookies , roasted pistachios, roasted almonds, crushed oreos, sea salt            flakes, grape nerds, quezo de bola shavings etc.

   5. Select your chosen drizzle, which will be place across your magnum bar, above the toppings. (Milk,              White, Dark chocolate, Vanilla )

meet my pleasure maker
So here's mine:

Vanilla Magnum bar, with White chocolate coating. Vanilla drizzle
Toppings: gold nuggets, freezer dried raspberries, & double speculoos cookies

Vanilla Magnum bar, with White chocolate coating.
Toppings : gold nuggets, chocolate crunch balls, fried almond

Overall, i love the place, the ambiance is relaxing (except if the people in line are quite noisy) and it is indeed luxurious looking. The coating and drizzle area were a bit messy that time because of the drippings of chocolates. Pleasure makers were really friendly, smiles on, and accommodating. I would definitely like to come back to taste the plated ones.

Moy Kebab ( Persian Cuisine )

If you were to find me, you could probably see me here or in jco. I've been a suki here for the past three months I guess. And I always forgot to post about it here, so finally..

It is located beside a subdivision near the Pasig City Police Headquarters almost at the front of Evergreen Chapel, along C. Raymundo Avenue. The place is just fine. Wifi zone and fully air conditioned.

Their rice meals are already accompanied with bottomless iced tea. We always order for Chicken Moy, I mean, A L W A Y S. Once I tried their Beef biryani, but its too spicy for me, my lips felt numb after, and drank more tea than the dish itself. But I still recommend it to those who love their food with different spices.

Chicken Moy is a grilled chicken with special marinade on. It may look typical but it taste really delicious especially if you put those special sauce on it. There are two kind of sauce, the spicy one and the just plain sauce. I like mine with both of it with salt and pepper.

Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie Official Casting

Official casting of the popular book The Fifty Shades of Grey has been finally announced by E.L. James herself through her official twitter account! She first announced who will be Anastasia, followed by Christian Grey. Here are her tweets:

This news was quickly spread out through out the social media and many fans reacted about their opinions about this. Most of the fans who have read the book have same ideal Christian Grey on their mind. The Top 3 most popular and requested were Matt bomer, Ian Somerhalder and Alex Pettyfer. That's why, as expected, most of the feedback was negative.

The producer, Danna Brunetti reacted to this and explained that there is a lot going on in the casting, not just by the looks but they also consider the talent, chemistry between the actors, schedules and how far they are willing to do in some scenes so if what the fans favorite was not cast, then there's something on them that do not fit on the role. Seems like EL James also notice the reactions and tweeted
It was also confirmed that the author's first choice was actually Robert Pattinson and never Bomer and Somerhalder. The expected release date of the movie: August 01, 2014 according to Hunnam tweet.

COMMENT:
I'm honestly disappointed too about who'll gonna play Grey, but I think Dakota is just fine for Anastasia but this casting issues cannot stop me from watching the movie. I think Danna is right, and i would like to quote something she said after explaining the casting procedures "..keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective." So I figured out how will I divert my little disappointment into something positive. Since most of the buzz is about Charlie Hunnam I browse some photos of him which pretty convince me that he actually got shades of Grey after all.

Dark, mysterious and dominant
Get what he wants
Rich and Workaholic
Charming
(I would appreciate if he shave that beard)
Sex Appeal

The Conjuring Movie Review

The movie is actually based on the true files of paranormal investigators/researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren. The couple investigated and documented thousand of cases throughout the world and witnessed a lot of unusual things including the "The AmityVille Horror" and "The Haunting in Connecticut".

Overview:
The story concentrated on what Warrens believe to be their most terrifying case, happened 1971 in Harrisville, Rhode Island which involves the Perron family. The family got to move in a new house bought at auction that seems to be a good deal...at first. What they do not know is the history that lies there.

Note:
No spoiler included

Trailer:

Right after watching the trailer, I've decided to watch it.

Review:

Haven't seen a great horror movie lately? This will surely do the trick! It's really hard to watch this alone, though I survive. The fact that this is base on true event, and I really do not believe in this kind of things, after watching the movie, i'm pretty convince. Even though i like watching horror movies, I really do not know Ed and Lorraine. But this movie made me want to read more about them and know more of their cases. Compare to The Haunting in Connecticut, i prefer this one. Although both of them have house issues, if you know what i mean. I like this more because I've seen things I never saw to other horror movies. How it was directed was really great, one of a kind. Defines the true meaning of horror/scary movies, not because of the blood, the creepy killers, nor the place but the story itself. I think the cast did well, the intensity of love between the couple Warrens is very visible, admirable actually. How they want to accomplish their work together, its very inspiring and at the same time, romantic. Haha. After watching the movie, believe me, you'll be intrigue who were the Warrens, how they do their stuffs, and what they have already accomplished.

By the way, I've seen comments of some fans that there will be another two movies about Warrens case files,  i'll definitely watch it!

Will I recommend this?
Of course!A must. Its really amazing. Watch it, and share your thoughts with me in the comment box. I have this thing about the 3:00A.M. but I think i'll make another post about that. Not convince yet? Check this out.
